The Petite flore forestière du Québec is being renewed! This third edition of the Petite flore forestière du Québec, completely revised and expanded, aims to better familiarize people with the flora of forest ecosystems. It is part of a broader goal of preserving and sustainably using forest biodiversity. The first part of the guide describes the major vegetation units of Quebec and the main floral assemblages used in the classification of southern forests. The second part consists of identification sheets presenting useful characteristics to recognize 300 species of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, bryophytes, and lichens that are most commonly found in our forests. They are illustrated with nearly 1,100 color photos and distribution maps. The whole is complemented by a glossary that facilitates the understanding of the terms used and references that may be useful to the reader. The Petite flore forestière du Québec is aimed at both forestry professionals and students, as well as the general public interested in the flora and vegetation of our vast territory.
