The first French edition of Comportement organisationnel was awarded the Prix de la ministre de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec in 2008. Encouraged by the success of the first edition, we have updated the book, retaining and improving on what made the first edition such a success. In addition to covering classic topics, this new edition draws on recent research developments and applications in the field of organizational behavior, while reflecting the realities of the workplace in Quebec and elsewhere. In particular, our book has been enriched with the most up-to-date perspectives on employee motivation and the thorny issues of the ethical aspects of management. It also deals with the importance of self-concept and the need for managers to draw more inspiration from the scientific method, and presents the results of the latest surveys on essential attitudes in this field. This new content, and much more besides, is presented here in a clear manner to the reader, whether student, employee, executive or practitioner.
